Remind me: Why do our tax dollars support Planned Parenthood?

Last week, Planned Parenthood of Indiana made news by offering gift certificates for abortion.  (See more about that here on AmP.)

Now student journalist Lila Rose, working with Live Action Films, has gone undercover to reveal felonious activity there.  Posing as a 13-year-old, Rose tells a Planned Parenthood nurse that she was impregnated by a 31 year old man.  The nurse then shares the following:

  1. She (the nurse) is required by law to report this.
  2. She will not do so, however.
  3. A 13-year-old needs parental consent to have an abortion in Indiana.
  4. A 13-year-old does not need parental consent in neighboring Illinois.
  5. She then points out the contact information for an Illinois abortion clinic.

Michelle Malkin (who’s site carries the video here) also reports that “Planned Parenthood, a tax-exempt nonprofit, made over $100 million in profits last year and has a billion-dollar budget, nearly a third of which comes from taxpayers through government funding.”

Don’t assume that this is only a problem for Planned Parenthood locations in Indiana.  As Lifenews.com reports, this is the second such view released THIS WEEK, and the first was filmed in North Carolina.   Their site also has further interviews with the young women involved in the Indiana project.
